9 things to do in Cape Town with Kove Collection this winter

Venture out and discover what we have to offer, from warm and inviting establishments with delicious seasonal menus, handcrafted winter cocktails and live music, to replenishing winter experiences with our five-star boutique hotels and spas.

1. Winter wellness starts with self-care at our spas

Our five-star spas at The Alphen and The Marly Boutique Hotels offer our guests a luxury experience in recharge and relaxation. Whether it’s a winter skin rejuvenation treatment or a deep tissue massage to revitalise tired muscles  –  or just a pamper day to restore mind and body.

2. A luxury staycation on nature’s doorstep has your name on it

Cape Town locals’ best kept secret is a winter staycation in one of the most beautiful places on earth. While it may be chilly out, the aloes are flowering and it’s a gorgeous time of year to explore the Western Cape winelands and our neighbouring national parks. And in winter, you can experience luxury, beauty and relaxation with Kove Collection’s boutique hotels for less.

Stay for 3 nights and pay for 2 until 31 August.

Choose from The Alphen, set in the heart of the Constantia wine route for a charming, countryside getaway.

Or, opt for The Marly with unparalleled ocean and mountain views in Camps Bay, nestled against the backdrop of Table Mountain National Park.

Each hotel has their own Spa and a host of sister restaurants with a variety of cuisines to choose from.

3. Thursday jazz evenings at Incognito

From July, Rémy Martin shares the stage at Incognito with our jazz musicians every Thursday evening at Incognito at The Alphen’s For Everything Else There’s Jazz. We’ve crafted a menu of delicious cognac cocktails and perfect serves to accompany the sultry sounds of Cape Town’s finest jazz maestros. Best enjoyed with good company and a selection of light bites and pizza from our tapas menu.

4. Our fireplaces are roaring

The best antidote to the chill outside is getting cosy at the fireside. From our restaurants’ crackling fireplaces at The Nines, Bobo’s, Blanko, Incognito, la Belle, Bilboa, Zenzero and Surfshack to heated terraces at Sonny and Irene and Lily’s  –  plus wood-fired pizza ovens at Zenzero and Surfshack, you’ll be toasty in no time.

5. Park underground and arrive at our doors dry

Stay dry when you visit The Nines or Sonny and Irene in Sea Point’s new Station House lifestyle building in buzzing Kloof Road. Park underground, head to the lift and arrive at our doors without ever stepping out into the rain.

6. New speciality cocktails with a winter twist

We’ve launched new speciality cocktail menus at Bobo’s, Incognito and The Nines. Handcrafted by our mixologist, with names like Spice Route, Winter Bramble and Peach Pudding, you’ll be warmed up from the inside while sitting cosy at the fireplace with an uninterrupted view. Take your pick between The Alphen’s rambling gardens to the Atlantic Seaboard’s blue seas and Sea Point’s iconic skyline looking onto Lion’s Head. Menus change monthly. Available from July until September.

7. Boutique Marly’s annual fashion sale

Take home luxury at our annual sale  –  featuring international fashion labels, local designers and boutique finds, with up to 30% off selected items in store. 8. Our Winter Menus are a calendar highlight for locals

Cape Town locals know that our winter set menus are the best way to eat out in style this season. Choose from two or three-course set menus at Sonny and Irene in Sea Point, Bobo’s in Mouille Point and Blanko at The Alphen in Constantia, as well as winter specialities across all of our restaurants. From hearty braised oxtail at Paranga to la Belle’s soup of the day and winter brunch menus at Lily’s and Sonny and Irene, we’re keeping things seasonal and extra indulgent this winter. Available until the end of September.

9. Live DJs every weekend spinning your sunset soundtrack

Keep the groove going all winter long with Incognito at The Alphen and Chinchilla in Camps Bay. We’ve got live DJs every weekend over sundowners at Incognito on Fridays and Saturdays, and Chinchilla, Friday through to Sunday, weather dependent. Follow @incognito_thealphen and @chinchillacpt for the latest live music schedule. The Bungalow reopens in September 2023 after renovations so keep an eye on @thebungalowclifton for live updates.
